Big thanks to Jonas Yip for the group picture. This was taken at the Inosanto Academy of Martial Arts (about a week and a half ago). That was a pretty fun shoot. I’m looking forward to Cynthia Liu’s World on a String!

I’m an Uncle!

I woke up on Monday morning and saw the missed text message from my brother-in-law… “In the hospital”, Sent – 1:48am. 30 minutes later, I was already on the 405 S freeway and headed to San Diego. I am so glad that I made it on time. It’s AMAZING how everything seemed to work out […]

Cinegear

Earlier this week, I got to hang out with my building manager Gil during Cinegear. A lot of the tenants didn’t really know that Gil was a camera operator back in the day (he got into the Union around 1965). If you’ve seen any episodes of the original Batman and Green Hornet TV series – […]

While I was getting my MA degree at SFSU, I had a small conversation with this guy named “J”. He asked me what I was studying…. I told him, “Oh, I’m majoring in Instructional Technologies.”(ITEC for short). “What’s that?!?”, he asked. I told him, “It’s a program where we use technology to enhance teaching….you know, […]

LA hood

During my “glorious” PA days, I had to drive one of these Film Production trucks. Sometimes the production manager or line producer would ask if I could PLEASE take the truck home with me after a shoot. (less hassle than picking it up at a lot, then getting stuck in LA traffic). I noticed that […]

About a year and a half ago, my friend Sung asked if I wanted to do some behind the scenes shooting for his 18 Mighty Mountain Warrior “Sketch Comedy DVD”. A few months later, the behind the scenes footage sparked the idea for it to be a full fledged Documentary – Mighty Warriors of Comedy. […]
